The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) notified the Select Board of their approval of Egremont's Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Plan. FEMA's approval means that Egremont can apply for federal funds to implement the actions embodied in the plan. Earlier, the Commonwealth approved the plan opening the opportunity to apply for state funding.
