The second and last Public Workshop for community input into Egremont's Comprehensive and Open Space and Recreation Plans will happen on March 11, 2023 (snow date March 18). The Workshop will be held at the Cafeteria at Mt. Everett High School, 491 Berkshire School Rd., Sheffield, from 9 AM to 12 PM. Its purpose is goal setting and identifying actions and priorities.
This Workshop will be highly interactive, allowing small group participants to discuss the topics below among themselves and the facilitators. To prioritize actions, participants will receive $1,000 'Egremont Dollars' in $100 bills to spend across all proposed actions on those most important to them.
- Economic Development (including agriculture)
- Land Preservation, Protection, and Stewardship (including agricultural lands and climate change)
- Historic Preservation and Future Development (including building and site design and climate change)
