The Egremont Historical Commission (EHC) seeks 3 to 4 new volunteer members. The EHC was established in 1974 and meets monthly.
Aside from the charge to oversee and preserve collections in the Archives Room, EHC pursues other projects, current among them historical research of the Van Guilder Estate (Jug End), participation in the renovation of the 1830s Mt Everett Academy building (home to Egremont's Library and Archives), an oral history project, photo documentation of Egremont's dirt roads, and drafting of a demolition delay general bylaw.
To learn more, visit EHC's website. Visit EHC'a web page for meeting notices and links to agendas, minutes, and Zoom recordings.
If interested in volunteering, email Town Hall.
