[ARCHIVED] Egremont's Wildlife Habitat: BioMap's Interactive Mapping Tool Explained on Youtube

BioMap of Egremont habitits showing substantial portions in green representing habitat areas

Recently, two BioMap Outreach Specialists with MassWildlife made a virtual presentation on the Future of Conservation in Massachusetts for Egremont, Sheffield, and Mount Washington. The webinar was recorded and is available on Youtube - click here. It begins with a few slides explaining the background of the BioMap, a pause for a Q&A, then resumes with a demonstration of the interactive map and finishes with more Q&A and in-depth discussion.

The BioMap web portal delivers the latest scientific data and resources to help state and local governments, land trusts, non-government organizations, and other conservation partners strategically plan projects to conserve wildlife and their habitats. New to the BioMap is the addition of local habitats, which show habitats at the municipal level.
