Egremont's Highway Superintendent Jim Noe has secured MassDOT (Department of Transportation) funding for repaving Rt71 within the Town's boundaries. MassDOT's Municipal Pavement Program supports municipalities to improve the payment condition of municipally owned state-numbered routes. The work is scheduled for FY2024. MassDOT will fully fund and implement the road construction in close coordination with the Town.
