The Town seeks to fill four of the five Trustee positions. Trustees serve for two years; the terms are staggered. Trustees must be full-time Egremont residents and registered voters. The Select Board appoints the trustees. The Town seeks trustees with experience in banking, real estate, real estate law, residential development, and workplace or affordable housing. In addition, trustees must be prepared to execute fiduciary responsibility by applying the highest ethical standards. Trustees should also display strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, the ability to devote time and energy impartially, and good judgment. (Egremont General Bylaws 21).
